Susquehanna Bone & Joint Specialists, Inc. was previously known as Williamsport Orthopaedic Associates, Ltd.  Williamsport Orthopaedic Associates, Inc. began practice in 1972.  Originally started by Francis Costello, M.D. and Russell Worobec, M.D., Williamsport Orthopaedic Associates, Ltd. established an excellent reputation of Orthopaedic care for all patients.  We are grateful to these physicians for beginning this type of quality care and concern for Orthopaedic services in our community and the surrounding area.  The physicians and staff of Susquehanna Bone & Joint Specialists, Inc. continue this philosophy of providing excellent care for all our patients.  We will make every effort to provide each patient with the best, innovative Orthopaedic care possible.

Our office deals with all Orthopaedic problems.  Both surgical and non-surgical conditions are handled at our office.  The Orthopaedic part of medicine performs diagnostic, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of diseases and injuries, which affect the musculoskeletal system of our body.  This system includes bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and nerves.  Our Orthopaedic surgeons have completed a comprehensive education program of four years of college, four years of medical school and at least five years of post medical school training.  In addition, each is a Fellow in the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).  Every year our physicians attend several seminars for their continuing medical education to keep them abreast of the newest and latest treatments or surgical procedures to serve each patient better.
